My 7 Super Shots

I’m writing this in response to Lily Riani, Adam Eben & Janggel Trekker who tagged me in their blog post about this assignment. It’s actually part of the Hostelbookers 7 Super Shots game. I had to go through my photo collection to find these photos which I felt suitable for the category required.

1) A photo that takes my breath away

Skydiving in Queenstown. This was one of the greatest moment in my life. I was in Queenstown, New Zealand and I embraced my fear to do a tandem skydive 9000ft from the ground.

2) A photo that makes me lough

A sculpture in Nami Island. It was summer and I was in Korea. Had to hop on and off a few trains from Seoul before I arrived at the infamous Nami Island. Apart from the beautiful scenery, I saw lots of sculpture here but this one really puts a smile on me.

3) A photo that makes me dream

A cool signboard. I took this while I was at Hillary’s Harbor, Western Australia. It shows a few major cities distance from the location it’s standing at. How I wish I could instantly travel to all of those destinations.

4) A photo that makes me think

Streets of Mumbai. Shot was taken in Mumbai, the city of dreams. I was walking from Dhobi Ghatt towards Haji Ali’s tomb when I saw this scene. A group of local females playing somekind of ‘boardgame’ by the streets under the hot sun.

5) A photo that makes my mouth water

My lunch!. I was having my lunch at a Chinese restaurant in Foshan City, further south of Guangzhou when I took this photo. It’s a beef noodle which I ordered from this menu. Try guessing which one did I ordered.

6) A photo that tells a story

The sulphur miners. Taken during my exploration to the Ijen Crater in East Java. This guy was doing one of the world’s worst job, sulphur mining. The two bucket of sulphur weighs around 50kg to 80kg and looking at the photo, one could tell that the journey from that point down to the foot of the mountain is still far.

7) A photo that makes me proud

Friendship. This is one of my favorite photos. Taken during dusk at Kuala Kedah Fort nearby my hometown Alor Star.

I’ve shared my photos, although am not gonna tag anybody here, please let me know if you decided to share yours 🙂

  6. Awesome shots! Canggih2 semua. NZD250 for the tandem skydive is not bad. Thought of doing it in Dubai but that would cost about double the amount. Have to wait until I get to NZ, I guess

(Real excuse: penakut sebenarnya, haha! ;-))
