It was actually my 3rd #TSDayOut outing with Tourism Selangor. Lucky me this time it was a special edition one, experiencing the Quad Bike or All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) ride at ATV Adventure Park in Kemensah. I’ve been hearing much about the place previously, but never got the chance to try it. We gather up somewhere behind the Zoo Negara area before carpooling towards Kampung Kemensah.
It started off with the briefing by the staff there about the bikes and safety before we make ourselves to the ATVs. After 2-3 rounds doing the test ride at the base camp area, we’re good to go. There are a total of 36 participants on the day so we were split into a group of 6. I was in the first group together with Adam Eben (adameben.blogspot.com) & Byya (travelersanatomy.blogspot.com).

Honestly at first I thought that the route would be just a normal trekking into some easy off road track, but I was wrong. I kid you not; the track that we took was indeed extreme & challenging. We had to go through rocky and bumpy tracks, up and down the hillside to the point where there’s one incident where one of us fell down the ATV while descending through the steep track. Luckily she was ok.
After an hour and a half trekking through the jungle, we finally reached the Batu Dam area. Most participants look excited although there’s a few that look “shocked”, maybe because they didn’t expect the track to be that challenging.

We went back to the base camp using the same route we came. Lily was with our group on the way back. The journey back was a bit faster maybe because we’re begun to feel compatible with the ATVs. I couldn’t snap many photos along the way because our guide was too fast like he was rushing for something.

Back at the base camp, I could tell that most of the participants enjoyed the event. Although it was a tiring activity, I could still see many happy faces among the participants. The event ended around 3.30pm and with the hungry tummy we head for our late lunch at Breadties, Taman Melawati. The mushroom soup served was really nice but my spaghetti was so-so.

This was also the point where all the participants submitted their photo for the photo contest. After lunch, we had the prize giving session by En. Fadzly from Tourism Selangor. Congratulations to all the winners.
