I re-visited Bali a few months ago and we decided  to stay in Kuta area. After considering all the options that are within our budget range, we choosed The Royal Eighteen hotel which has a good rating on most travel booking sites and moreover, it is considered new. We stayed there for 3 nights.

Location

This 4-star hotel is strategically located at Jalan Singosari in the heart of Kuta, it is within walking distance to everything. The beach is just 200m away and same goes to the shopping and nightlife area.  There are many massage parlours and also restaurant around. However I could not find any halal restaurant within walking distance.

Room

I stayed at the deluxe room on level 4. The room was decorated with a modern balinese looke and considered spacious with a view of a temple next door. The toilets are also clean equipped with a bathtub. Room is equipped with a minibar, safe box, kettle and LCD Tv with lots of channels.

Facilities

The hotel provides free wifi but it’s only available in the lobby area only. The restaurant is located at the ground floor overlooking the main pool area, which is not really big. Other facilities include a Balinese spa, a bar and lounge.

Staffs

Staffs at the reception are welcoming and friendly during the stay. Most of the time they never fail to smile. They were helpful to help us find halal food around the area. We were also offered welcome drink while we’re checking in.

Overall

Overall I would say with the rate USD75 that I got for the deluxe room in a 4 star hotel, it is really value for money. Recomended for travelers with medium-range budget for accomodation.
